Associate Clinical Professor, NOSM University
Self-compassion has been linked to compassionate caregiving in health professions. Despite evidence of benefit in attending to personal health needs, health professionals face stigma when supporting their own mental health. Bryan’s goal is to leverage online learning paradigms to increase access and exposure to an evidence based self-compassion introductory training course. In delivering this course to Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) clinical faculty he will evaluate whether participation increases the likelihood of engagement with future training thereby encouraging compassionate patient care.
