Using AI to reduce falls in long-term care

Up to 80% of long-term care residents have dementia, and about 60% of older adults with dementia fall each year. Accurately assessing fall risk enables targeted preventative interventions to reduce harm. Building up on several years of transdisciplinary research, Babak’s work will clinically validate an intelligent fall risk assessment system.
