Given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and opioid crisis, individuals across Canada have been impacted by the loss of someone they know. This loss effects many domains of one’s life, including emotional and behavioral. Grief following bereavement is an extremely painful, but unfortunately common experience. Strategies to cope with grief include compassionate support from networks, including family and friends, and mental health professionals. With challenging access to professionals and isolation from supports, the potential for using digital tools to cope with grief is emerging. Lydia’s fellowship will explore individuals’ experiences with compassion through using these tools.
