This episode features Part 1 of 2 with Paul Francis Jr., Vice President of N’doo’owe Binesi (Healing Thunderbird), the Indigenous Health, Partnerships, and Wellness division of St. Joseph’s Care Group in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Paul holds a Master of Social Work – Indigenous Field of Study degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is a registered social worker and a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). Deeply committed to his Anishinaabe spiritual practices, Paul actively participates in and assists with traditional ceremonies. He strongly believes in integrating Indigenous healing practices within the mainstream healthcare system for the benefit of all.

Of Odawa (Anishinaabe) and mixed European ancestry, Paul is a proud member of Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory on Manitoulin Island and belongs to the Bear Clan. He is also a devoted father to Tristan, Royal, Harlow, Ailee, and Siinese, alongside his wife, Kyla.
