Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming healthcare- with significant developments being made in smart technology that can monitor, assess, and treat patients. The interplay between computers, AI, patients, and environments that are poorly understood, though they may play important roles in how people perceive care- especially those with disabilities. Minnie’s team is collaborating with people with disabilities to pilot remote assessments to evaluate how the design of human-computer-environment interactions can be optimized for compassionate care.
